Set up four containers with an identical mixture of potting soil and peet moss.  Containers A, B and C will have different fertilizers, container Ɵ will be natural. Dissolved one teaspoon of fertilizer in a cup of water for each container.  The cup of water for control container was just plain water.
Added water to each container to provide moisture for seed to germinate. Made a sheet of paper to make it easier to space/plant seeds.  On the left I planter xxx Basil, on the right, xxx  Basil.
After planting all seeds, I added an additional 1/4 to 1/2 inch of damp soil to cover seeds and help with germaniation. Here is a picture of the completed containers.
I covered the containers with plastic wrap to keep in moisture.  I also moved the containers to the basement near the furnace for a warm place to start. Fertilizer for Container X
